Abstract:
Objective To study differentiation-induction effect of vitamin E succinate(VES)on human gastric carcinoma cell line SGC-7901.
Methods At the base of cell culture in vitro, the effect of differentiation-inducing activity of VES at the dose of 5, 10 μg/ml were measured by MTT method for cell growth rate; by 3H-TdR incorporation method for DNA synthetic speed; by flow cytometry for cell cycle distribution, by spectrophotometer for enzyme activity.
Results After treated with VES, SGC-7901 cells were led to morphologic change, growth inhibition, DNA synthetic speed decrease, cell cycle arrest, and ALP, LDH activity suppressant.
Conclusion VES can induce SGC-7901 human gastric cancer cells to undergo differentiation.
