Health status of urban occupational population in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

Objective To understand the status of self rated health among different urban populations in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.Methods With multi-stage stratified sampling,6 differen to ccupational populations,including civil setvant,scientific and technical personnel,administra tive staff,teacher,doctor,and physical worker aged 18-60 years were assessed by Self rated Health Measurement Scale Version 1.0(SRHMS V 1.0).Results The SRHMS score of all respond entsw as 69.86±11.74.The scores of physical health,mental health,and social health subscale were 74.14±12.45,64.15±15.65,and 70.74±14.48,respectively.There was no-significant difference in the scores of physical health,mental health,and social health between male and female.The score of physical health of the respondents atage of 50-60 years was lower than that of other age groups(P<0.05)and the scores of mental health,social health of respondents atage of 18-29 years was lower than that of other age groups(P<0.05).Among the 6 occupational groups,the admin istrative staff had the highest total score(72.52±11.39)and the physical workers had the lowest total score(63.702±10.55)with a significant difference(F=268.14,P<0.05).Conclusion There are differences in self rated health status among difficent occupational populations in Ningxi Hui Automous Region.
