Contamination of aflatoxins in peanuts from some regions in China

  • Objective To identify the contamination of afla to xin in peanuts in China. Methods The samples of peanuts were collected from Jilin,Henan,Hubei,Sichuan,Guangdong, and Guangxi province. The levels of aflatoxins(AFs) were determined by high performance liquid chromato graphy method. Results A flatoxins were found in 115 of 197 peanut samples analyzed. The average concentration of the positive samples was 91.74 g/kg.The positive rates of samples from Sichuan,Jilin,Guangdong,Guangxi,Hubei, and Henan were 53.12%(17/32),66 67%(22/33),63.64%(21/33),61.76%(21/34),60.00%(21/35),and 43.33%(13/30),with the average concentrations of 244.96μg/kg,136.74μg/kg,94.11μg/kg,44.30μg/kg,22.20μg/kg,and 0.33μg/kg,respectively.A FB1 was detected more frequently and with higher levels than the other three AFs,with a positive rate of 58.38% and anaverage concentration of 77.77μg/kg.The positive rates and average concentrations decreased in the order of AFB2,AFG1,and AFG2.Conclusion Peanuts are contaminated with a flatoxins widely.Samples from the sixregions are contaminated with AFs of various concentration.AFB1 is the major one among the four AFs.
