Seroepidemiological Survey of Variclla Zoster Virus

To study seroepidemiological aspect of varicella zoster virus(VZV)in healthy plpulation to provide scientific basis,for working out immunity tactics of varicella vaccine and controlling effectively varcella prevalence.1363 health persons of 0 to 63 years in Hang Zhou and Tai Zhou were studied of VZV antibody by ELISA in 1998.The seropsitive rate of VZV antibody was 58.47%.There were no significant differences in the prevalance of antibody between male and female,in different places and those in February,May,November.The positive rate for infant(3 months old)was 78.95%,children(3 months to 7 years old)17.83% and the positive rate for persons 8 to 12 years,13 to 20 years and more than 20 years were 63.45%,83.23%,and 92.55% respectively.The rate for the children of 3 years old is only 8.33%.Infant and beinglow school children in immunity level to VZV were the main immunifactioners of varicella vaccine.
