The Seroepidemiolgical Investigation of Arbovirus in Humans and Rats of the South of China

  • Objective In onder to investigate the distributin of arbovirus in the south of China.Methods 3077 sera from humans and 401 sera from rats were detected for antibodies of 14 different arbovirus species by indirect immunofluorescence assay(IFA)in 11 district of the south of China.Results In humans,the positive rates of alphavirus,including SIN,CHIK,SF,MAY,RR,SAG and GET,were 0.64%,1.13%,0.6%,0.04%,0.4%,0.11% and 0.18% respectively;the one of flavivirus antibodies,comprising JE and DEN1-4 were 2.70% and 8.60%;the one of bunyavirus,containing XHF and SSH,were 2.66% and 5.33%.Among the rats of sanya,qunzhong,and qunhai district in Hainan province,the positive rates of alhavirus,including SIN,CHIK,SF,RR,were 1.80%,6.31%,4.50%,6.31% respectively;the one of flavivirus antibodies,comprising JE and DEN1-4 were 3.69% and 8.11%; the one of buny avirus,containing XHF and SSH,were 3.10% and 3.79%.Conclusions Those showed humans and rats in some place of the south of China had been infected to different extent by alphavirus,flavivirus,bunyavirus.
