The Alteration of the Lipid Peroxidative Levels of Coal Workers’ Pneumoconiosis Patients

  • Objective To study the lipid peroxidative levels of coal workers' pneumoconiosis(CWP)patients. Methods The content of the trace elements Cu and Zn in serum and the levels of MDA,superoxide Dismutase(SOD) and MDA were determined. Results The content of Cu,Zn in serum and the level of MDA and SOD activities of CWP were higher than that of control group, the GSH content of CWP was lower than that of control group. When the length of service and the stages of pneumoconiosis of CWP were change, the contents of trace elements and the lipid peroxidative levles were change too.Smoking could affect the lipid peroxidative leves. Conclusion This study suggested that coal dust nigth cause metabolic disorder in term of lipid peroxidation on exposed workers, lipid peroxidation may be a main effective factor to coal workers' penumoconiosis.
