Exprimental Study on Effects of Tea Polyphenol on Quartz Induced Pulmonary Cytotoxicity

Objective To investigate the effects of Tea Polyphenol(TP)on pneumonocyte injury induced by quartz dust.Mehotd The cellular and biochemical indices were measured in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BALF)from the silicotic rats.Results The number of total cells and of PMN,the concentration of protein in BALF of the silicotic rats treated with TP were reduced significantly.Conclusion TP played a protective role in quartz induced pneumonocyte injury and inflammatory response.
