Observation on 8-OHdG Level in Urine of Normal Adults

ObjectiveTo detect the level of 8-OHdG in urine of normal adults and estimate its range in normal population.MethodsEL ISA kits for 8-OHdG check are used to detect 8-OHdG in urine samples.Picrate method is used for creatine detection.8-OHdG level is adjusted by creatine in urine.ResultsThe average level of 8-OHdG in urine of normal population is 14.15±9.00ng/mgCr.There is significant difference between males and females,and the levels are 11.85±5.72ng/mg·Cr and 16.24±10.83ng/mg·Cr respectively.The whole population is stratified by every 10 years old,and no significant difference is observed among the stratums in males,females as well as the total.In females aged 21-60,the level of 8-OHdG increases with age.ConclusionThe 95% reference ranges of 8-OHdG in urine of normal males and females are 0-25.77ng/mg·Cr and 0-44.89ng/mg·Cr respectively.
