Cost-benefit Analysis of High-dose Immunization Strategy of Infant Hepatitis B Vaccination

  • ObjectiveTo study the best vaccination strategy of hepat itis B vaccine in economically advanced r egion in China.MethodsCost-benefit analysis(CBA)was used to evaluate the high-dose immunization str ategy of infant hepatitis B vaccination in Dongcheng distr ict of Beijing.ResultsAlmos of 5.917 9 million Yuan(RMB)could be saved if putting into 0.3424 million Yuan(RMB)for the cost of the vaccination;the NB was 4.992 million Yuan(RMB)and the BCR was 15.58.ConclusionThe economic benefit of the curr ent immunization strategy was significant.The cost of screening and discount rate could change BCR greatly.
