Epidemiologic Study on Relationship Between Tea Consumption and Fatty Liver

  • Objective To study the relationship between tea consumption and fatty liver.Methods Three hundred and thirty individuals were collected as study objects.Those people were surveyed on their age,height,weight,living habits,serum indicators.Incidence character of fatty liver was analysed by means of single-factor and the relationship between tea consumption and fatty liver were analyzed by logistic regression methods.Results Logistic regression results indicted that male.wine-drinking,high level of BMI,GPT.TG,GIu were risky factors for fatty liver.The risk of fatty liver in tea consumption group was lower than non-tea consumption group(OR=0.799 P=0.022 2).Conclusion Tea consumption was a protective factor for fatty liver,with the tea consumption index increasing one unit,the rate of fatty liver reduced 20.1 percent.
