Surveillance and Analysis of Suspected Measles Cases in Taian City During

Objective To research on the attributes of epidemiology of suspected measles cases in Taian city under "Measles-Control" item.Methods Serum specimens were tested for measles and rublla IgM antibodies by capture IgM ELISA.Results Two hundred and thirty one suspected measles cases were tested during two years,among which the measles IgM antibodies positive rate is 34.2% (79/231),the rubella IgM antibodies positive rate 27.3% (63/231).The time for serum sample collection is closely connected to classification of suspected measles cases.Conclusion The outbreak of suspected measles cases mainly concentrates in March,April and May,with rubella accounting for a higher rate.Besides,the time for serum sample collection is of great importance.
