Study on Health Service Requirement and Facility and Affective Factors in Bodily Handicapted Population

  • Objective To know the status of the health service requirement and facility of the handicapted and to analyse the affective factors.Methods Family oriented health service requirement and facility investigation was carried out among 541 subjects chosen randomly from Tangshan city.Results Two-week prevalence and chronic disease prevalence are 22.92% and 31.61% respectively,which are higher than those of the normal population;The rate and times of clinical consultation are 75.79 and 81.33 per 1,000 in two weeks,which are lower than those of the normal population,and the administration rate reached 105.40 per 1,000 in one year,which is higher than that of other population.The rate of un-consultation and unadministration of the diseased handicapted are 66.94% and 66.27% respectively,much more than those of other population.The ratio of hospital accompany for the sick handicapted is 4 times of the whole population.Many factors are found to affect the prevalence,clinical consultation rate and hsopital administration rate.Conclusion Some effective measures should be taken to decrease the prevalence,to increase the utilization rate of the medical service facility in the handicapted population.
