  • ObjectiveTo investigate the incidence and epidemilogical characters of military training injuries of recer uits in Chinese People's Armed Police Fo rces.MethodsEight hundred and seven male recruits sampled as a cohort were followed up for one year. The military Training Injury Diagnosis Standard,Prevention and Cure Principle(1999,General Logistics Board of Chinese People's Liberation Army)was used as the diagnostic criter ia.ResultsCumulative incidence in recruits of CPAPF was 16.1 injuries/1000 soldiers/year,and musculoskeletal overuse-type injury was 77.7%,and stress fracture was the most common type of injury documented, making up 63.8% of all kinds of injuries.During five months at training beginning,90% injuries were broken out.Injurious sites were located in lower limbs, and the main curricula-causing injuies was 5km running.Injuries resulted in loss of training of each person for a average of 12 days in one year.Only 60% wounded recruits had clinical visit,so the rate was lower.ConclusionThe incidence of military training injuries of CPAPF was lower than that of People's Liberation Army, but injuries surver illance, prevention and treatment should be improved.
