Study on Genetic Toxicity of Volatile Compounds of Decorated Materials

ObjectiveTo study on DNA damage of human peripheral lymphocytes caused by the volatile compounds of decorated materials.MethodsThe alkaline single cell gel electrophoresis(SCGE)was used to detect the DNA damage of peripheral lymphocytes of woman servants worked in decorated areas or not for half year.ResultsThe rate of DNA damage of the women working in the decorated room was higher than that of the control group.(P<0.01).ConclusionThe volatile componds of decorated materials may do harm on the DNA of human peripheral lymphocytes,and the DNA damage can be detected by SCGE method as an early biological indicator.
