Objective To study effective measures of mental health education for college students.
Methods 190 and 100 freshmen were selected for a experimental group and a control group.The experimental group was educated on mental health for one semester through classroom teaching, group counseling and individual counseling.
Results Compared with the control group, there were insignificant differences in sorces of SCL-90 before the education.After the education, the experimental group had significantly lower scores than the control group except somatization and psychotism.
Conclusion Mental health education can raise mental health level of college students.
