Infecting prevalence of STDs pathogen and its influence factors in bearing-age women in Shandong province

  Objective   To explore the infecting prevalence of pathogens which cause sexually transmitted diseases(STDs) and its influence facto rs in the population of marr ied bearing-age women in the rur al area of Shandong province, and fur ther to set up preventing measures to the diseases.

  Methods   Using cluster sampling method for selecting population based on economic level strata, the epidemiological investigation about the infecting prevalence of pathog ens which cause STDs and its affecting facto rs was carried out at four sampling fields.

  Results   The infecting rate of trichomonad was 3.55%:the infecting rate of candida albicans was 6.87%:the infecting rate of chlamydia trachomatis was 1.72%:the infecting rate of gonorrhea was 0.45%:the infecting rate of syphilis was 0.11%:the infecting rate of ureaplasma urealticum was 13.49%, no positive for HIV antibody.The main risk factors were as follows:younger for marrying age, without knowing the right method for washing perineum; without knowing that the STDs can be transmitted through sexual life; fewer than 24 times for bathing in a whole year.

  Conclusion   The infecting rate of pathogens which cause STDs is high, which correlates with the lower educational level, lower understanding rate of health knowledge, and insanitary behavior.
