Sampling validity analysis on World Health Survey-China pilot study

  •   Objective   To assess the representativeness of China pilot study smples of world health survey(WHS).
Methods   Dissimilarity index, sample-population deviation index, Myer index and Gini concentration ratio were used to nalyze the sampling validity of household and individual samples in WHSChina pilot study.
Results   In accor ding to the construction of household size showed appropriate repr esentativeness.Though individual samples were close to populationon age and sexcharacter istic, under-sampling and ove-rsampling existed in lower age group and upper age group separately.
Conclusion   The sampling method in WHSChina pilot tudy shows a sufficient sampling validity, and the samples generated by this method can represent the characteristics of the population.
