Effect of Cu²⁺ on Zn²⁺ and hemoglobin in peripheral blood of carassius auratus

  Objective   To study influence of different concentration of Cu ²⁺on hemoglobin(Hb), weight and Zn ²⁺con2 tent in kidney, pancreas, musculature and branchia of carassius auratus.

  Methods   The content of Zn ²⁺in kidney, pancreas, musculature and branchia of carassius auratus was measured by atomic spectro photometry when the fish was put into the water with different concentration of Cu ²⁺ and Zn ²⁺ for 5 days.The test of fish mutagenesis was used to measure the Hb.

  Results   The content of Zn ²⁺ and Hb of carassius auratu was reduced by Cu ²⁺.When the Cu ²⁺ concentration were 011 mg/L and 1 mg/L, the level of Zn ²⁺ in kidney and pancreas and Hb in peripheral blood was greatly reduced by Cu ²⁺(P < 0.05).

  Conclusion   The higher Cu ²⁺ concentration strongerly reduce the level of Zn ²⁺ and Hb.The kidney and the pancreas are more easily affected by Cu ²⁺ than those of the usculature and the branchia.
