Effects on relevant factors of Penicillium citreoviridin toxin production

  •   Objective   To observe the effect of temperature, p H and time on Penicillium citreoviridin's(PCV)production of toxin in laboratory.
      Methods   PCV was cultured in Charles culture medium in different conditions, Citreoviridin(CIT)was extracted and quantitated by HPLC.
      Results   Quantities of CIT produced by PCV were uniform at the temperature of 30℃ and 8℃(222.36~231.02μg/g medium); PCV produced more CIT in alterant temperature(532.16μg/g medium; PCV produced less CIT in acid culture medium(161.86μg/g medium); PCV produced the most CIT after had cultured for 10 days.
      Conclusion   PCV's production of toxin was promoted in alterant temperature.PCV's production of toxin was restrained in acid culture medium.PCVproduced maximum CIT after 10 days culture.
