Relationship between overweight, fat and relative diseases in residents of Hangzhou city

  •   Objective   To explore the relationship of overw ight, fat and hypertension, high lipids, high serum glucose and high urine acids.
      Methods   Stratified clusterr andomsampling method was used, 1 064 residents above 15 years old in Hang zhou were randomly selected and their blood pressure and related factors were investigated, includingheight, weight, serum cholesterol(TO), trig lyceride(TG), empty stomach blood glucose(GLU), and urine acid(URIC).
      Results   The rate of overweight was 31.11% in the residents of urban and rural, and the rate of fat was 8.18%.The difference between man and female had no statistics meaning(P > 0.05);the means of SBP, DBP, TC, TG, GLU and URIC increasd with weight.The prev alence in overweight group, fat group hy pertension, high blood lipids, high GLU and high URIC were obviously higher than those in normal weight group(P < 0.05 orP < 0.001).
      Conclusion   Fat is related closely with blood pressure, lipids metabolic, glucose metas-tasis and U RIC, and it is the important influencing factor of hypertension, high blood lipids, high GLU and high URIC.
