Intervention study on AIDS health education for workers worked outside by college student volunteers

  •   Objective   To understand the effection of health education given by college student volunteers among the peolple who worked outside as the temporary workers, and to explore the effective strategy and measures of making good use of qualified people in public health.
      Methods   The student volunteers of three different colleges were choosed by stratified cluster sampling and trained as interfer ors and investigators.The same two questionnaires were answered by the workes respectively before and after the interviews given by the students in their winter vacation.
      Results   The rates of accurate learning for knowledge of AIDS were improved after inter vention(P < 0.05).Recept ion ratio for the type of the inter vntion raised from 34.7% to 66.2%(P < 0.05).And 88.9% workers would share the knowledge with more persons.
      Conclusion   College students made the important role in social resources.The reception, feasibility and effectiveness of the intervention were proved.
