Logistic analysis on relevant factors of abandoning drug habits voluntarily in drug addicts

  •   Objective   Through probing into relevant factors on drug addicts abandoning drug habits voluntarily, so as to provide the theoretical evidences for the department concerned to control AIDS epidemic situation.
      Methods   Epidemiological field research method was adopted to study it.
      Results   Investigation and research were carried out 968 drug addicts.Through analyzing by the Logistic model, some relevant factors were screened out, which caused drug addicts to abandon drug habits voluntarily, such as age, nationality, someone looked well but actually infected by AIDS/HIV, whether AIDS/HIVcould be transmitted by biting insects, HIVinfected pregnant woman would transmit HIV to herinfant, it could prevent AIDS if they use condom in sexual intercourse, it could prevent AIDS if someone changes injecting drug to inhale it, the time injecting drug through vein.
      Conclusion   The main relevant factors that caused drug addicts to abandon drug habits voluntarily were age, sex, the time injecting drug through vein and knowledge about AIDS.
