Analysis on HIV incidence rate among injection drug users in Xichang City

    Abstract
  •   Objective   The HIV incidence rate was studied among the injection drug users in Xichang of Sichuan province with a mathematical model.
      Methods   The basic data were obtained by cross-sectional studies among the injection drug users.A HIV mathematical model was analyzed.
      Results   The HIV mathematical model was introduced.The HIV incidence rate was estimated.
      Conclusion   By the model, the HIV incidence rate is λ=3.5%, which is close that by the cohort study.
