Investigation on prevalence of uterine myomas and it’s risk factors in women from rural area

ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence and it's risk factors of uterine myomas.MethodCluster randomized sampling method was used for selecting subjects based on economic level strata,and a survey of prevalence of uterine myomas in married women of reproductive age was carried out in four communities.Logistic regression was used to explore it's risk factors.ResultsThe prevalence of uterine myomas was 3.13%.There was no significant difference among wonen from different region,edacation backgraud.It's risk factors were as follows,long-term serving of drugs used to prevent pregnancy,artificial abortion,cervical erosion,and senior age.ConclusionThe prevalence rate of uterine myomas is higher,which correlated with long-term serving of drugs used to prevent pregnancy,artificial abortion,cervical erosion,and senior age.
