Analysis on effect of induced abortion on influence factors of reproductive tract infection

  • ObjectiveTo investigate the occurrence of induced abortion among currently married women and explore the related factors.MethodPopulation Proportional to Size sampling method was employed in sampling.The sampled women were interviewed face to face with uniform questionnaire.ResultsThe proportion of women with induced abortion once was 24.9%.The induced abortion rate increased continuously from 7.2% in 1973~1980 to 20.1% in 2001~2005,and the abortion ratio changed from 0.081 to 0.291 accordingly in the same period of time.Current contraceptive method and occurrence of its side effect,number of ever born children,temporary sexual partner and living area were significant predictors for induced abortion,especially current contraceptive method.Women with induced abortion history were more likely to suffer from reproductive tractinfections than women withoutinduced abortion.ConclusionThe induced abortion rate was increasing rapidly in the last thirty years,current contraceptive method had important effect on it.It was important to use contraceptive methods correctly.
