Investigation on adolescenthealth risk behaviors in Guangzhou city

Objective To explore adolescent risk behaviors in Guangzhou.And to provide data for health education and risk behavior prevention.Methods A adolescent risk behavior quest ionnaire was conducted with stratified random cluster sampling among about 8 100 students from 8 high schools and 8 primary schools in Guangzhou.Results There were many risk behaviors among adolescents,which included injury,suicide,cigarette smoking,alcohol use,dieting,sexual behavior and illegal drug use.The prevalence of adolescent behavior was related with different age groups and gender.Conclusion A dolescent risk behaviors should be concerned and early prevention should be engaged to improve adolescenthealth.
