Investigation on AIDS education course in colleges and universities of China

Objective To investigate AIDS education course in colleges and universities,and to discuss an effective way of AIDS education in China.Methods Arandom sampling was conducted to perform the self-designed quest ionnaire among 41 colleges and univ ersities from 21 provinces and municipalitis and the data were analyzed by statistics.Results AIDS education course was not developed in most colleges and universities.The majority of examinees thought AIDS education should be subsumed in regular programme with corresponding textbook and professional teathers.The main problem in AIDS course was the persons qualified to teach.Conclusion Developing AIDS education course in colleges and universities is urgent and important.The government should pay attention to it.
