Abstract
Objective To study the pro tective effect and mechanism of polysaccharide from aloevera L var on the acute liver injury of mice. Methods Kunming mice were chosen to do the experiment. The mice were administrated orally with polysaccharide at the dose of 1.79,3.58 and 7.17 mg/(kg·bw)respectively.The liver injury model was established by CCl4 intoxication mice.Alanine transaminase(ALT)and aspar tate transaminase(AST)in serum, superox idase(SOD)and malondialdehyde(M DA)content in hepatic tissue were measured. Results Polysaccharide at the different dose can decrease ALT,AST activities in serum,MDA content, and increase SOD activity in hepatic tissue. Conclusion Polysaccharide from aloe vera L var possesses a protective effect on the acute liver injury of CCl4 intoxication mice by antiox idation.
