Cloning and sequence analyse of potential vaccine gene of echinococcus granlosus strain in inner Mongolia

  • Objective To further study the character of echinococcus granulosus fatty acid binding protein(FABP)gene and provide the basis for analysis of its immunological functioning.Methods The specific primers were designed according to published nucleotide sequence of echinococcs granulosus FABP gene in the genbank database(AY024340 and AF321119).The fragment of FABP gene was amplified by PCR.Results The FABP-NM gene was successfully cloned and the full length of the cloned gene was 482bp.The FABP-NM gene showed 100% homology with the Xinjiang strain in China (AY024340)and 99% homology with the foreign strain(AF321119).Conclusion Several possible antigen epitopes located in the FABP,which prov ided the basis for further studying the immunolo gical function of FABP and construct FABP nucleic acid vaccine.
