Analysis on risk factors of unintentional injuries among children in Weifang

Objective To study the status of injury among children and the causes of commoninjur ies.Methods A cluster sampling study on the conditions of injuries was conducted among children.Non-conditional Logistic Regression Analysis was used to detect the risk factors for injuries.Results The overall incidence of injuries was 6.78%,the incidences of injur ies in boys and in girls were 8.51% and 5.08%.The overall average injuries times was 2.14,and boys 2.2 girls 2.0.The main factors that related to injury rate were age,sex,the residing environment,distance between school and home,the manner of sports in spare time,relation of the family,and education of safety.Conclusion It was suggested that incidence of injury in children can be prevented and reduced by taking comprehensive measures properly.
