Effect of blood glucose control of type 2 diabetes on serum lipid

Objective To study the effect of blood glucose control of type 2 diabetes on serum lipid.Methods 58 normal controls and 79 patients with type 2 diabetes were enrolled,and the levels of blood lipid(TG,TC and HDL,LDL),serum insulin and HbA1c were measured.To detect the expression of APOB gene by RT-PCR.Results The levels of HbA1c,TG,TC,LDL in patients with type 2 diabetes were significantly increased.By insulin therapy,the levels of HbA1c,T G,TC,LDL in patients were decreased.The expression of APOB gene in patients were higher than normal controls.By therapy,the expression of APOB gene were decreased,but were higher than the normals.Conclusion Control the levels of blood glucose of patients with type 2 diabetes could have a better lipid profile.
