Analysis on reproductive health participating and affecting factors of nuclear family

  • Objective To understant the reproductive health participating condition of the nuclear family men in Shanghai city by a cross-sectional study,discussing related affecting factors to provide suggestions for the following intervention.Methods 1 060 men were selected randomly for this epidemiology study,face to face interviews were carried out among men fro mnuclear family and the information was collected by questionnaires.Results 59.79% of men think that they should take responsibility for their wivesp reproductive trace infection(RTI);and 84.11% of men will go to see a doctor with their wives if their wives had RTI;85.23% of objects,know contraceptive informed choice;and 79.26% of them wanted to take the responsiblity of contr aception;47.68% of men wanted to acquire more reproductiv health knowledge.Conclusion The reproductive health participating condition of men from unclear family is good,but there are significant differences among different age groups,different know ledge levels and different occupations.So some effective intervention should be carried out to promote the reproductive health condition of the nuclear family.
