Detecion of food borne vireses by gene-chip assay

  • Objective To establish the rapid,high-throughput method for food borne viruses detection and inspection. Methods Gene-chip was used to detect the food borne viruses which cause human diarrhea. Results The Gene-chip method was created to detect 5 kinds of viruses from shellfish. The gene-chip method had the advantages of high specificity and the sensitivity the same as real time PCR.The stability of the Gene-chip was not changed in seven months under 4℃.Conclusion The method of Gene-chip has the priority of rapidity, high throughput and secsitivity in detecting food borne viruses, and also can be used on clinical purposes. This method provids the basic platform for further research in the field of detection of many kinds of viruses.
