Effect of ginsenosides on HIF expression in anoxic mices cortices

  • Objective To study the effect of ginsenosides on HIF expression in anoxic mice's cortices.Methods Westren Blot and RT-PCR were used to test HIF expression,H-Estain was used to check the damage of cortices of anoxic mice.Results Ginsenosides could significantly enhance the HIF protein expression under anoxic environment and lessen the hypoxia damage on mice cortices.Compared with the control group,hypoxia for 12,24 and 36h the expression of HIF-1α protein of ginsenosides group increased 14.25%±29.65% and 101.76%,respectively.Conclusion Enhancing the expression of HIF may play an important role in the neuroprotective effect of ginsenosides on aroxic mice's coetices.
