Analysis of risk factors of hypertension in residents of Heilongjiang,China

Objective To analyze the main risk factors of hypertension in residents of Heilongjiang province for hypertension prevention.Methods There sidents in Taiping district in Harbin,and Zhaodong and Shuangcheng cities in the province were investigated by questio nnaire and their blood pressures were taken.The data were analyzed with single factors and multifactor non-conditional logistic regression analysis.Results Gende,rage,education,family history of hypertension,drinking,occupational physical activity and waist circum ference(WC)were related to hypertension when single factors a nalysis was performed.After adjustment for age and gender in multiple logistic model,education,family history of hypertension and WC were the risk factors of hypertension,and the odd ratio was 1.331,1.478 and 2.730,respectively.Conclusion Education,family history of hyperten sion and WC were the main risk factors of hype rtension in residents of Heilongjiang province.The body weight control and education miprovement should bemajor measures for hypertension prevention in Heilongjiang.
