Genotyping of Salmonella typhi sampled in Dalian area by amplified fragment length polymorphism

Objective To analyze the intra specific genetic relationship and polymorphism of the Salmonella typhistrains isolated from stool sample scollected in Dalian area during 2000~2006.Methods Am plified fragment length polymorphism(AFLP)was applied to 30 Samlonella typhiisolates using there striction enzymes PstI/MseI and 9 selective prmierpairs.Results Twenty-nine different AFLP gene types were found among the 30 strains of Samlonella typhi.Conclusion AFLP is a valid and efficient method to research the molecular epidemiology of Samlonella typhi.
