Influences of mental health on biochemical indicators and correlations with HLA-DQB1

  • Objective To explore the effect of mental health on serum biochemical indicators and the correlation with allelomorphic genes of HLA-DQB1.Methods Fifty people with abnormal mental health screened with SCL-90 and 37 normal people were selected as experimental group and control group from physical examinees.Biochemical indicators were detected with auto equipment.HLA-DQB1*02,*03,*04,*05 and *06 alleles were individually amplified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) using exon 2 group-specific primers and the correlation with serum biochemical indicators was investigated. Results Statistical analysis showed significant difference in frequency distribution of HLA-DQB1*2 (P<0.5) between two groups. The high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in experimental group was significantly higher than that of in control group (P<0.5);while the LDL/HDL in experinental group was significantly lower than that of in control group (P<0.5).There was a significant difference in the effect of serum biochemical indicators on the HLA-DQB1*02,*03 and *06 between the experimental group and control group (P<0.5).Compared with the control group,A/G and LDL/HDL were higher and HDL and blood glucose were lower in experimental group. Conclusion Different state of mental health could change some serum biochemical indicators and this was related with the phenotype of HLA-DQB1.
