Analysis on mobility character of medical personnel in township hospitals

  • Objective To analyse the mobility character of medical personnel in township hospitals in Guangxi province to provide reference for training and keeping stability of the medical staff.Methods A survey was taken in 54 township hospitals with multi-stage sampling.Results The ratio of the inflow and the outflow of medical workers was 1:0.87.The inflows were mainly under 24 years old with secondary vocational education background or without professional titles.While the outflows were mainly above 30 years old with college education background and with primary or upper professional titles (P<0.05).43.94% of the outflows selected jobs in superior hospital.The first cause of personnel loss of township hospitals was slender earning and bad welfare (73.0%);the second was poor working condition (39.09%);the third was the difficulty of promotion (32.42%).Conclusion The outflow of the medical personnel with senior educational background,higher professional title was serious.Township hospitals should make effort to ensure the stability of the medical workers.
