Electrochemical character and determination of trace SCN-

  • Objective Electrochemical pretreatment method was used tomodify glassy carbon electrode(CCE) and investigate the electrochemical character of SCN-.Methods A novel electrochemically pretreated CCE(PCCE)was achieved by anodic oxidation at a higher potential,followed by potential cyclic scanning in a widerpotential Electrochemical character of SCN- was investigated and deteun fined with the electrode.Results The reaction of SCN- on PCCE was an it reversible adsorption process.The oxidation peak currents were linearwith the concentration of SCN- within a range from 6.7×10-6~6.7×10-4mol/L.The detection lin it of SCN- was 3.3×10-6 mol/L.Conclusion The PCCE can be used to detercn fine trace SCN-.
