Effect of recombinant hepatitis B vaccine combined with hepatitis B immunglobulin(HBIG) in interruption of vertical transmission of HBV

  • Objective To observe and compare the effect of recombinant hepatitis Bvaccine combined with HBIG in interrupting the vertical transmission of HBV,and to provide foundation for making countermeasure of interrupting vertical transmission of HBV.Methods Eighty-five local women taking part in prenatal examination at the regional comprehensive hospitals and with positive HBsA gor HBsAg/HbeAg were divided in to three groups. For groupⅠ(n=22)the new borns were vaccinated with HBIG two times with in 24 hours and 15 days later(200 IU/needle).For groupⅡ(n=37)the pregnant women were vaccinated with HBIG three times in 28th,32rd,36th pregnancy week(200 IU/needle),and the new-borns were vaccinated with HBIG two times with in 24 hours and 15 dayslater(200 IU/needle).The control group(n=26)the pregnant women were not vaccinated. All the new borns of the three groups were vaccinated with 10μg recom binant hepatitis Bvaccine in the regular immunity procedure(0,1,6th months). One year later the blood samples of the infants were collected and detected with EL ISA for HBsAg and anti-HBs.Results The positive rates of HBsAg in the infants of one year old in groupⅠ,groupⅡ and control group were 17.24%,2.70% and 23.04% and the positive rates of anti-HBs were 86.36%,97.30% and 76.92%,respectively.The interruptive and immunity protection rates of vertical transmission in groupⅡ was beter than in groupⅠand control group with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The recombinant hepatitis Bvaccine combined with HBIG in interruption of vertical transmission of HBV is good, safe and applicable.
