Inhibitory effects of 30 alcoholic extracts of Chinese medicine on HBsAg and HBeAg excreted by 2215 cell

  • Objective To observe the effects of 30 alcoholic extracts of Chinese m edicine on HBsAg and HBeAg excreted by 2215 cell-hepatom a cells transfected by HBV-DNA.Methods The cytotoxicity tests were carried out with 2215 cell tredted with thirty different alcoholic extracts of Chinese medicine with cytopathic effect (CPE) observation. The inhibitory effects of 30 alcoholic extracts of Chinese medicine on HBsAg and HBeAg were observed at atoxic concentrations. Results Eighteen extracts of Chinese medicine showed obvious inhibitory effect on HBsAg and six extracts of Chinese medicine showed obvious inhibitory effect on HBeAg by the inhibitory rate and the therapeutic index. The inhibition rate of Ramuli euonymi and Ligustrum lucidum on HBsAg were 89.7% and 87.9%,with the therapeutic indexs of 22.8 and 13.8.The inhibition rate of Granatum and Diercao on HBeAg were 73.6% and 72.6%.Conclusion The method to screen antihepatitis vims B drugs in vitro is convenient and feasible. The effective medicine such as Ramuli euonymi and Granatum can be taken into further anti-HRV studies.
