Effect of health promotion on hyperten sion patients in community

Objective To study the influence of health education on know ledge, attitude and behavior of hypertension patients in a community.Metbods The know ledge and life style of 276 hypertension patients in a community were investigated. Then health education was given to the patients from May 2006 to October 2008. The data before and after the health education were analyzed. Results After the health education, the rate of health know ledge about hypertension increaed evidently.The ratios of physical exercise, body weight control,motion stability among the patients increased evidently (P<0.01).Conclusion The health education on hypertensive patients can change theirstyle of living,increase their heahth know ledge.The community-based comprehensive intervention on hypertension is feasible and effective.
