Establishment of consensus sequence of PreS of hepatitis B virus genotype C prevailing in Nantong city

ObjectiveTo develop consensus sequence of C subtype of HBV PreS in Nantong city.MethodsThe gene of HBV PreS was amplified with PCR and sequenced.The main strain prevailing of HBV subtype C was identified to establish its consensus sequence.The sequences of all samples were analyzed using Clustalx1.8 and MEGA3.1.ResultsThe results showed that 19 strains were genotype C and 6 were genotype B.The consensus of PreS of HBV subtype C was established.There were 6 and 10 different sites of base page comparing HBV-C D50517.1 and Chongqing consensus sequence.The homologies of the gene were 98.9% and 98.1%,respectively.ConclusionThe consensus sequence of PreS of HBV subtype C of Nantong city was established.
