Effects of Na-DMPS on energy metabolism of myocardium in mouse with acute bromoxynil toxicity

  • Objective To explore the effects of sodium dimercap topropane sulfonate(Na-DMPS) on energy metabo lism of myocardium with acute bromoxynil toxicity.Methods Seventy-eight ICR mice were randomly divided into normal control group(n=6),bromoxynil poisoning group(n=36),and Na-DMPS protection group(n=36).The mice in bro moxynil poisoning group and Na-DMPS protection group were sub-dv vided randomly in to high and low dose group.The contents of adenosine tripho sphate(ATP),adeno sine diphosphate(ADP),and adenosine monophosphate(AMP)in myocar dium were detected at 0.5,3,and 6 hours after the treatment.Results The ATP contents were 39.62·8.39,41.19·6.56 mg/g at 0.5,3 hours,respectively,in mice of high dose bromoxynil exposure group and significantly lower than those of control group(P < 0.05).The contents of ADP at 0.5,3 hours after high-dose bromoxynil exposure were significantly higher than tha to fcontrol group(14.73·3.20 and 17.28·2.36 vs 11.01·0.93 mg/g,P < 0.05).The contents of AMP in mice with high dose bromoxynil exposure at 3,6 hours after the treamtent were higher than that of control.The ATP con tents in mice with Na-DMPS exposure were 51.01·7.10,58.34·12.34,and 52.92·14.15 mg/g at 0.5,3,and 6 hours after the treatment,respectively,and significantly higher than those of mice in high-dose brom oxynil group(P < 0.05).But the contents of ADP and AMP in mice of Na-DMPS group were lower than that of high-dose brom oxynil group(P < 0.01). Conclusion A cute brom oxynil in toxication affects my ocadium energy metabolism and Na-DMPS in tervention improves my ocardium energy metabo lism in mice with the intoxication.`
