Comparative experiment on detection of serum ALT and TP with dry and wet chemical method

Objective To discuss the the comparability of dry and wet chemicalme thod in the detection of serum alen ine transam inase(ALT)and total protein(TP).Methods According to the EP9-A document Clinical Laboratory Improve ment Amendments 88(United States NCCLS),wet and dry chemical method were used to detect serum ALT and TP among 80 patients.With the results of the detection,the system bias of dry and wet chemicalm ethod was evaluated according to one half of the United States National Conmmittee for Clinical Laboratory Standards(CLIAc88).Results The results of ALT were not acceptable because the system bias of ALT exceeded one half of CLIA'88 standard,but the system bias of TP did not exceed one half of CLIA'88 standard.Conclusion The results of dry chemical method and wet chemical method for de tection of serum ALT are not comparable,but the results of TP are comparable.
