Effect evaluation on reproductive health education intervention among undergraduates in art college

  • ObjectiveTo discuss and assess the model of reproductive health education among art college students.MethodsAsix months reproductive health education was conducted among 1008 students in an art college in Wuhan, which included lecture and webmode.The impacts of the intervention were evaluated by comparing results of surveys before and after the intervention.ResultsAfter the intervention,the students' knowledge and attitude on sexual and reproduction were significantly improved.The correct answer rate of emergency contraception increased by 20%;the ratios of boys and girls recognizing the physical and psychological impacts of unwanted pregnancy to women increased to 83.7% and 91.2%.But the change of the reproductive health behavior was not significant.ConclusionReproductive health education including lecture and web mode is feasible and effective to the college students.
