Association between IL-10-819 polymorphism and susceptibility to hepatitis B virus infection in Han, Yi and Yao minority of Guizhou

  • Objective To investigate the association between in terluekin 10(IL-10)-819 gene polymorphism and susceptibility to hepatitis Bvirus(HBV) infection in Han, Yi and Yao mino rity in Guizhou provnce. Methods We selected 500 volunteers from Guizhou provice.A llelic frequencies of IL-10-819 were measured with PCR SSP.Results There was a significant difference in IL-10-819 genotype frequencies between the minority and the whole population(P < 0.05).The distributions of geno type frequency of IL 10-819 were statistically different among Yao ethnic and Han ethnic in Libo, Yi ethnic in Q ianxi and Yi ethnic in We ining, and Han ethnic in Libo(P < 0.05).IL-10-819 polym orphism was associated with HBV infection in Yi ethnic in Qianxi and Hanethnic in Libo. Conclusion IL-10-819 g enepolymorphisms influence susceptibility to HBV infection in Han, Yao, Yi population in Guizhou. The study suggests that IL-10-819 genepolymorphisms maybe a risk factor for HBV in fection.
