Efficacy evaluation on reproductive health intervention among unmarried female migrants

  • Objective To evaluate the efficacy of reproductive health(RH) in tervention among unmarried female migrants.Methods Using purposive sampling method and the questionnaire designed by European Union, we investigated 861 unmarried female migrants before the intervention and 806 after the intervention.Results Before the intervention, only 19.3% of respondents got scores of 10 or above for reproductive health knowledge; after the intervention, 95.4% of respondents got score of 10 or above(χ2=-13.296, P=0.00).The rate of condomuse, consistently using contraceptive measure and consistent condomuse increa sed more than 10% than those of before the intervention.However, the rates of condom use at each intercourse and taking contraceptive measure were not significantly different from those of before the intervention.Concluion Education can improve the knowledge of RH among unmarried imgrants and more effictive interventions should be conducted to improve RH status of the unmarried female.
