Flow injection analysis of volatile phenol in fish with 4-amino antipyrine colorimetry

  • Objective To investigate the detection of volatile phenol in fish by flow injection analysis with 4 aminoantipyrine colormietry.Methods The linear range,detection lmiit,recovery,and relative standard deviation of flow in jection analysis for volatile phenol with 4 aminoantipy rine colormietry were tested,and 52 samples of marine fish and 42 samples of freshwater fish were detected.Results The linear range was 0.0010.04m g/kg; the detection lmiit was less than 0.001 mg/kg; the recovery was 89.5% 102.9% and the relative standard deviation was 1.34.6%.The average concentration of volatile phenol in marine fish (0.184 mg/kg) was significantly higher than that of infreshwater fish (0.061 mg/kg) (P < 0.05).The volatile phenol concentration of freshwater fish was 24% higher in 2009 than that of in 2007 (0.049 mg/kg).Conclusion The high automation and micro operation miprove the sensitivity and stability of flow in jection analysis with 4 am ino antipyrine color imetry and the method is efficiency and energy saving.
