  • Objective To study the prevalence and sexual behavior of the HIV sexual transmission among HIV/AIDS and their spouses or fixed sex partners and to provide scientific evidence for HIV prevention and control. Methods Persons w ith HIV/AIDS and their spouses or fixed sex partners were investigated with a questionnaire and their blood samples were taken for anti-HIV antibody detection. Results The rate of HIV infection through sexual transmission was 37.8% (48/127) in spouses or fixed sex partners. The HIV transmission rate of male-to-female was 43.6% (44/101) and higher than the rate of female-to-male(15.4%4/26χ2=6.984,P< 0.05).The spousal transmission rate of the subjects infected through heterosexual contact was lower than that of the subjects infected through injection drug use. However, there was no significant difference(χ2=0.122,P=0.727).After HIV infection, the consistent condom use rates of HIV/AIDS with spouses or fixed sex partners was 72.8% (107/147).Conclusion The HIV infection rate of sexual transmission was high in spouses or fixed sex partners, and the transmission rate of male-to-female was higher than that of female-to-male.Some people living with HIV/AIDS had multiple sexual partners and couldn't use condom consistently. The process of informing the HIV positive result should be standardized and the specific intervention should be conducted.
